What should I bring to my first appointment?

Bring a valid photo ID and your insurance card if you have one. Your new patient forms will be sent to your phone ahead of time — just complete those before you arrive and you’re all set.

How long does the first visit take?

Plan for about 60 minutes. This gives us enough time for a thorough exam, X-rays, and a full conversation about your dental health and treatment options without feeling rushed.

Do you accept my insurance?

We accept most major dental insurance plans including Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, MetLife, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Guardian, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and many more. If you don’t see your plan listed, call us — we likely accept it.

What if I don’t have dental insurance?

No problem at all. We offer our in-house Smile Care Plan starting at $300/year for children and $350/year for adults. It covers preventive care and gives you significant discounts on other treatments. Visit our payment options page for details.

Will I need X-rays at my first visit?

In most cases, yes — digital X-rays are a critical part of a comprehensive new patient exam. They help us detect issues that aren’t visible to the naked eye, like cavities between teeth, bone loss, or impacted teeth. Our digital X-rays use significantly less radiation than traditional film.

Do you see children?

Absolutely. We love seeing kids and make every effort to create a positive, fun experience for young patients. We recommend children have their first dental visit by age one or when their first tooth appears. Early visits build good habits and prevent future problems.

I have dental anxiety — can you help?

Yes. Dental anxiety is very common and our team is experienced in working with anxious patients. We take extra time to explain every step, never rush you, and offer sedation options for patients who need additional comfort. Just let us know when you call — we’ll make accommodations from the start.
